Agdia, Inc., a leading provider of easy-to-use test kits for
agricultural diagnostics, announces a new lateral flow test
strip, which can quickly differentiate Roundup Ready® cottonseed
from Roundup Ready® Flex cottonseed.
The NPTII (neomycin phosphotransferase II) marker gene is
present in Roundup Ready® cottonseed, but is not expressed in
Roundup Ready® Flex cottonseed. Agdia’s NPTII ImmunoStrip can
differentiate between the two events. The NPTII ImmunoStrip is a
rapid diagnostic providing results in as little as five minutes.
When compared to plate culturing or the polymerase chain
reaction (PCR) method, the ImmunoStrip is much faster and
incredibly user friendly. Agdia’s ImmunoStrips do not require
laboratory equipment and are rugged enough to be used in field
environments.
The NPTII ImmunoStrip is ready for immediate sale and
complements Agdia’s comprehensive portfolio of validated,
easy-to-use ImmunoStrips for identifying transgenic traits.
For 28 years Agdia has provided diagnostic solutions to the
agriculture industry. Agdia offers not only diagnostics test
kits, but also a plant pathogen testing services program. For
