Brookings, South Dakota on August
19th, 2009. The workshop will be made up of 45 minute
stations selected by you to hit the seed topics
that you are most interested in.

The Corn and Soybean Seed Quality
Workshop is followed by the Seed Sampler Workshop held
August 20-21st, 2009.
SGS announces a seed sampling workshop to be held in Brookings,
SD, on August 20-21st, 2009. ISTA, AOSA and CFIA sampling rules
will be reviewed, as will sampling methods, sealing seed lots,
subdividing samples and a review of ISTA certificates.
Participants completing the workshop will be taking the first
step towards accreditation to sample for ISTA certificates. This
workshop is an excellent education experience for anyone
sampling seed, regardless if it will be exported or not. Milt
Haugen, Croplan Genetics, participated in a seed sampling
workshop and suggests “To do justice to your customer and your
company’s product, everyone should attend a sampler workshop.”
The session will begin at 8:00 a.m. on August 20th and conclude
at noon on August 21st. The workshop will be held at SGS in
