U.S. Grains Council honors Dr. Owen Newlin for 40 years of service

Dr. Owen J. Newlin was honored for his 40 years of dedicated involvement in the U.S. Grains Council at the 49th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting.

Dr. Newlin was Chairman of the Board in 1979 and has participated in many Council activities and missions over the past 40 years, including

- the Grain Export Market (GEM) Mission to Australia in 2003;
- the GEM Mission to Russia, Hungary and Italy in 2002;
- the Pioneer International Agricultural Trade Fellowship Mission to Japan and China in 1996; and
- the Pioneer International Agricultural Trade Fellowship Mission to Argentina and Brazil in 1992.

Dr. Newlin represents American Seed Trade Association for the Council and has contributed tremendously to the Council’s success and to The Grains Foundation.
