Jon Pierce of Clare, Iowa, joined
Renze Seeds as a
District Sales Manager in late 2008. He will work directly with
growers and develop a dealer network for the company in north
central Iowa. Pierce is a 30 year veteran in the seed industry
looking forward to representing Renze Seed.
“Renze’s relationship with Dow AgroSciences places this company
at a competitive advantage,” Pierce stated. “They have access to
outstanding germplasm and technology, certainly, while
maintaining a customer-focused business model that’s missing
with most other seed companies today.”
As a seedsman, Pierce has always put product quality first with
relationships a very close second. In moving to Renze Seeds, he
will be able to combine the two in a manner his customers
expect. “With Renze I am able to make better product offerings
than I could previously,” Pierce stated. “This company will be a
household name in the near future.” He has worked in the same
area for many years, giving him an excellent understanding of
growing conditions and opportunities.
While Pierce’s relationship with Renze Seeds is new, he has
worked with both Craig Williams, general manager, and Dan
Swalla, sales and marketing manager, previously. “Jon and I
share a common vision of how a good seed company should be run.
Renze seeks individuals with the highest degrees of integrity
and experience to represent our products,” Williams said. “We
jumped at the chance to bring Jon on board with Renze Seeds.”
Swalla echoed Williams’ endorsement, and said, “We are thrilled
to expand Renze Seeds’ territory with the addition of Jon to our
sales team. He adds valuable experience and the strongest
customer service credentials in our industry.”
Pierce and his wife, Janet, reside near Clare. They are parents
of grown children and have a three year old grandson who lives
nearby. His hobbies include collector cars and motorcycles as
well as hunting and fishing when time allows. |
