AgVenture WSC expands territory, adds two sales professionals

.

Kentland, Indiana
February 18, 2009

Strong and steady growth has prompted AgVenture WSC to expand their sales force. Aaron Mays of Mount Vernon and Shawn Beitz of Harrisburg will both join the company covering a significant territory across most of nine Southern Illinois counties.

AgVenture WSC Seed Sales Manager Mark Beer said, “We’ve had tremendous reception from area farmers
since joining AgVenture in spring 2007. Interest in our products has grown as farmers have seen these AgVenture products perform. They really seem to value the product access and professional support they get
when they buy AgVenture® brand seed.” For that reason, Beer said, “It was time to build our sales team. And
we’re pleased to announce the hiring to two very talented professionals.”

With facilities located at Mount Vernon, IL, Corn Yield Specialist Aaron Mays will provide AgVenture products
and services to growers across a five county area. The Jefferson County native and ag professional has
worked in agriculture and dealer distribution networks over the past seventeen years. Most recently, Mays
was a regional territory manager over a 5 state area for Tru-Test.

Mays said he chose to join AgVenture because of the strong connection between its products and services. “I
believe in working with customers. AgVenture doesn’t just sell seed. They offer growers high quality, locally
adapted products along with dedicated service: knowledge, solutions, and information that truly bring
additional value to that seed product.

Mays is a graduate of Kaskaskia Junior College and Southern Illinois University. He and his wife Keri have
two young children; Hunter, age 7 and Hailey age 5.

Based in Harrisburg, Shawn Beitz will serve as a Corn Yield Specialist across four counties. Beitz was a
soybean seed production specialist prior to joining AgVenture. He also worked in livestock feed sales. Beitz is
a graduate of Illinois State University in Agribusiness.

A native of Strasburg, IL, Beitz said, “My family has been using AgVenture seed products for over a decade.
Product performance is really consistent and impressive with AgVenture. It has worked for us very well. The
Maximum Profit System gives our customers the opportunity to dramatically increase yield on every acre
while driving down the cost of production per acre. That means more profitability for local growers. I’m glad to
share my experience with the products and help area farmers find the right products for their farms.”

AgVenture, Inc. is the nation’s largest network of independently owned regional seed companies. Based in Kentland, Indiana, AgVenture provides this growing network of independently owned and managed regional seed companies with seed products meeting exacting standards for quality, together with leading-edge genetics and technology.
