Professionals and students looking for continuing education credits or professional development credits can now enroll in a seed dormancy class offered through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University.

Allen Knapp, associate professor in agronomy, will be teaching the class this fall. The class includes the basic biology and physiology of seed dormancy, seed storage and seed performance. The class will cover basic laboratory protocols for assessing seed dormancy.

More than 600 students are enrolled in distance education classes delivered through the Brenton Center. The center offers five master’s programs that cater to professionals who need scheduling flexibility to pursue a master’s degree.
