Dairyland
Seed has announced that Chad Staudinger has been promoted to
the position of Forage Product Manager.
“We’re excited to have Chad take on the important position of
Forage Product Manager at Dairyland. With his background,
growing up on a progressive dairy farm in Eastern Wisconsin, he
brings that forward-thinking perspective to this position,”
stated General Manager, Tom Strachota.
In his new position, Chad will develop and maintain existing
on-farm strip trial product testing programs to gain knowledge
of forage product performance in various environments. He will
coordinate with the National Sales Leader, the Alfalfa Strategy
Leader, Marketing, the Corn Product Development Agronomist and
Alfalfa Research to design and implement a strategy that will
stimulate interest and purchases in all of Dairyland’s forage
products. His primary focus will be on Dairyland’s Hybrid
Alfalfa and HiDF Corn Silage Products.
“Our patented HybriForce hybrid alfalfa products and unique
HID.F. silage lineup provide an excellent opportunity for sales
growth. Chad’s expertise will help us achieve that growth,” said
Gary Leeper, Dairyland Sales Leader.
Chad joined the company as a District Sales Manager in Wisconsin
in 2004. He provided seed products and services to customers in
Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Green Lake, Waushara, Marquette, and
Adams counties. Chad has experience with direct and retail sales
to crop producers as well as agronomic consulting and crop
planning.
Chad holds a B.S. degree from the department of Dairy Science at
the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he specialized in
dairy nutrition. He is a member of the Midwest Forage
Association, the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association, the
Wisconsin Soybean Association, and the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.
Dairyland Seed began its seed business in 1907 and has built
an established dealer network throughout the Upper Midwest, with
international sales in more than 20 countries. The business

Marie Strachota, entering the field of plant breeding in 1977.
Now part of Dow AgroSciences, the family leadership continues
through son Tom and grandson T.J. Primary research locations are
in Clinton, Wis.; Gibson City, Ill.; Otterbein, Ind.; Gilbert,
Iowa; and Sloughhouse, Calif., with plant breeding programs in
hybrid alfalfa, hybrid corn and soybeans. Dairyland Seed is
