Bayer CropScience
will play a significant role in an event that is expected to
attract a lot of attention and economic benefit to Saskatoon and
across Saskatchewan this summer.
Representatives from Bayer CropScience, the host Auto Clearing
Motor Speedway and NASCAR announced today that Bayer CropScience
will be the title sponsor of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series
race scheduled for Saskatoon on July 29th. They also announced
the official name of the race will be “Velocity Prairie Thunder,
presented by Bayer CropScience” – named after one of Bayer’s
leading new cereal herbicides, Velocity™M3.
“We’re pleased to be involved in another Saskatchewan first,”
said Lauren Davis, Cereal Herbicides Portfolio Manager with
Bayer CropScience. “This is the first time NASCAR is coming to
Saskatchewan and it’s an event that’s important to the province
and to our customers.”
The race logo and pace car were also unveiled at the Saskatoon
news conference.
“From the excitement and interest we’ve been getting from people
all across Saskatchewan, we expect Velocity Prairie Thunder to
make some positive noise for this city and province. We’re
pleased Bayer CropScience has come forward to play a leading
role in this event,” said Herm Hordal of Auto Clearing Motor
Speedway.
Velocity M3 is a new wheat herbicide launched by Bayer
CropScience this year to offer wheat and durum growers across
Western Canada exceptional grass and broadleaf weed control and
another powerful resistant weed management tool.
