Canterra Seeds Holdings Ltd. appoints new Director of Research and Development

Canterra Seeds Holdings Ltd. ("Canterra Seeds") announced today the appointment of Dr. Erin Armstrong Ph.D, BSc. (Ag) as the new Director of Research and Development effective immediately.

Ron Gorst, Chief Executive Officer, said “Erin’s extensive experience, technical knowledge, and leadership record will be a huge asset to our team.”

Dr. Armstrong has been President and CEO for the Brewing and Malting Barley Research Institute (BMBRI) in Winnipeg, Manitoba for the past eight years. Prior to BMBRI Erin worked with Canada Malting Co., Ltd. and General Mills, Inc. She brings over 15 years experience working within the agriculture industry including service on the Prairie Registration Committee for Oats and Barley as well as the Western Grains Research Foundation Advisory Committee.

A native to Winnipeg, Erin has also worked and lived abroad. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba and her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa.
