On September the 18th 2008,
INCOTEC and
PROTEIOS (both companies part of the INCOTEC Group)
took the opportunity to celebrate their anniversaries together,
with customer and business associates in a high quality setting.
The key speaker Mr. Ben Verwaaijen
(photo right), former CEO of the British
Telecom Group and, since 1st of October 2008, CEO of
Alcatel-Lucent, presented his vision on how to live and make a
better life for the future, in which sustainable technologies
and sustainable agriculture will play an important role.
Mr. Verwaaijen indicated that companies in the seed industry
like INCOTEC fit very well into the story of sustainable
agriculture and as regards sustainability should be marketed by
telling, showing and doing. “Make yourself known and you will be
loved!”
During this celebration INCOTEC took the opportunity to honour
one of the founders of INCOTEC, Mr. Jan de Boer, with the
INCOTEC Innovation Award 2008. Jan de Boer is a man with vision
regarding the requirements of seed technology treatments to
improve the quality and germination of horticultural seeds under
various circumstances. Mr. Jan de Boer has been successful in
transforming scientific research into commercial seed technology
products and in the seventies he was the first to successfully
develop seed priming on a commercial scale.
During the celebration, the deputy mayor of Enkhuizen presented
the C.E.O. of the INCOTEC Group, Mr. JanWillem Breukink (photo
right), with
the silver “three herring pin” , an award conferred by the
municipality of Enkhuizen as a reward for his entrepreneurship
regarding the growth and development of INCOTEC worldwide, for
promoting the seed industry of Enkhuizen and for his
contribution to employment in the Enkhuizen area by creating a
unique company with highly qualified people.
The way INCOTEC and PROTEIOS celebrated their anniversaries, was
highly appreciated by around 300 customers and business
associates and regarded as fitting with the high quality
associated with the INCOTEC and PROTEIOS organizations.
On Friday the 19th and Saturday 20th employees of INCOTEC and
PROTEIOS celebrated their anniversaries with their families.
INCOTEC is active in the field of seed and coating technology
and has a leading position in adding value to seed and other
starting materials through all kinds of enhancements such as
coating, priming, disinfection, seed selection and the
application of additives, including the sales of film coat
liquids.
PROTEIOS is active in providing all kinds of services and
products in the field of genetic testing and marker technology.
Both companies have activities in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain,
USA, Brazil, Japan, India, China, Australia and South Africa. |
