Germination magazine launches Giant Views of the Industry

.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
September 3, 2008

Germination magazine is launching Giant Views of the Industry, a groundbreaking video series featuring interviews with leading thinkers in the Canadian seed industry. Similar to the U.S. interviews which are posted on the Seed World web site, the Canadian interviews will be posted on Germination’s web site at www.germination.ca and updated on a monthly basis.

The first interview was posted on September 1 and features John McLaughlin of C&M Seeds talking about the red wheat revolution and its outcomes in Ontario.

Other interviews for 2008 will include:

  • Doug Knight of Viterra talking about the challenges of selling seed.
  • Dale Adolphe of the CSGA discussing how seed growers can maximize profits during the current boom.
  • Wayne Gale of Stokes Seeds talking about succession planning in a family run business.

Other topics covered in the series will include boosting certified seed sales, organic regulations, and the role of biofuels in the seed industry. The videos are brought to you in an easy to use format that breaks the interview down into bite-sized pieces so you can view the topics you want when you want, without having to watch the entire video in one sitting. Just click on any of the one to two minute long segments you wish to view.

Giant Views of the Industry is part of the Germination family of publications which includes Germination magazine, www.germination.ca, and G-mail, a bi-weekly e-newsletter. Germination reaches decision makers across the breadth of the seed sector in Canada, including distributors, retailers, breeders, wholesalers, brokers, trade associations and industry suppliers.
