After 12 years at Rijk Zwaan
Welver (Germany), 8 of which as a director, and, following that,
nearly 24 years as a director of the
Rijk Zwaan Group with
commercial matters and production as his area of special
attention, co-shareholder Anton van Doornmalen will stand down
as a member of the Board of Directors of vegetable seeds company
Rijk Zwaan with effect from 1st July 2009. On that date he will
be succeeded by the present assistant-director commercial
organisation, Marco van Leeuwen. Together with Ben Tax and Kees
Reinink, Van Leeuwen will form the three-headed executive team
of Rijk Zwaan.

From 1st July 2009 Van Doornmalen
will remain fully active within Rijk Zwaan. Apart from becoming
chairman of the Advisory Board and holding several internal
executive positions, he will be active in particular in the area
of international commercial innovation, chain projects and large
accounts. He will also continue to represent Rijk Zwaan in the
national and international trade organisations. Van Doornmalen
will continue to work within Rijk Zwaan for, on average, 3 days
a week.
Marco van Leeuwen joined Rijk Zwaan in 1993 and has been
assistant-director commercial organisation since 2004. Within
this function he has gained ample experience in commercial
matters and seed production activities of Rijk Zwaan, at home
and abroad. Van Leeuwen was closely involved with, for instance,
founding the Rijk Zwaan subsidiaries in Italy, Chile and Morocco
and for one year he was interim director of Rijk Zwaan
Nederland. |
