The Belgian authorities have
granted the registration for Infinito® (Fluopicolide +
Propamocarb-HCl) from
Bayer CropScience for use against late blight (Phytophthora
infestans) in potatoes.
"We are extremely happy that for the upcoming potato season we
can offer our latest tool for late blight control in potatoes
also in Belgium", says Alexander Buschermoehle, Global Product
Manager at Bayer CropScience. "In the past year, which was a
historically strong year for Phytophtora infestans in Europe,
Infinito® has proven to be an outstanding product, helping many
farmers to effectively control an ever more aggressive disease",
he adds.
The recent approval in Belgium adds to the list of European and
global key markets, which have already approved fluopicolide
products, for example Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom,
Japan and China.
Fluopicolide is one of the newest active ingredients in Bayer
CropScience's fungicide portfolio. Its novel and unique mode of
action leads to rapid destabilization of fungal cell structures
and allows it to provide robust high-level control of late
blight and downy mildew diseases.
Products based on this innovative active ingredient provide a
long-lasting and very effective protection for plants. The
favorable residue and environmental profile enables growers to
meet the stringent requirements of the food chain partners and
to flexibly use Fluopicolide products in Integrated Pest
Management systems (IPM) in a wide range of crops with short
pre-harvest intervals.

in Belgien zugelassen
Die belgischen Behörden haben das Fungizid Infinito®
(Fluopicolide + Propamocarb-HCl) von Bayer CropScience für den
Einsatz gegen die Kraut- und Knollenfäule (Phytophthora
infestans) an Kartoffeln zugelassen.
"Wir sind hoch erfreut, dass wir für die anstehende
Kartoffelsaison auch in Belgien unser neuestes Mittel zur
Bekämpfung der Kraut- und Knollenfäule an Kartoffeln anbieten
können", sagt Alexander Buschermöhle, Global Product Manager bei
Bayer CropScience. "Im vergangenen Jahr hat der Befall mit
Phytophthora infestans in Europa bislang ungekannte Ausmaße
angenommen.
Infinito® hat sich als herausragendes Produkt bewährt und vielen
Landwirten bei der wirksamen Bekämpfung einer immer aggressiver
werdenden Krankheit geholfen", ergänzt er.
Die jüngste Zulassung in Belgien ergänzt die Liste der
europäischen und weltweiten Schlüsselmärkte, in denen Produkte
auf Basis von Fluopicolide bereits zugelassen sind, so
beispielsweise in Deutschland, den Niederlanden, Großbritannien,
Japan und China.
Fluopicolide ist einer der jüngsten Wirkstoffe im
Fungizid-Portfolio von Bayer CropScience. Sein neuartiger und
einzigartiger Wirkmechanismus bewirkt eine rasche
Destabilisierung von Pilzzellen und ermöglicht die schnelle,
hochwirksame Bekämpfung der Kraut- und Knollenfäule sowie von
falschem Mehltau.
Produkte auf Basis dieses neuen Wirkstoffs zeichnen sich durch
einen lang anhaltenden und sehr effektiven Schutz der Pflanze
aus. Dank des günstigen Rückstands- und Umweltprofils können die
Produzenten die hohen Anforderungen der Lebensmittelkette
erfüllen und Fluopicolide bei einem breiten Spektrum von
Kulturen mit kurzer Karenzzeit (Wartezeit) flexibel in Systemen
der integrierten Schädlingsbekämpfung (IPM) einsetzen. |
