Canadian regulatory authorities
have cleared the ExpressSun trait, according to Pioneer Hi-Bred
International officials.
The ExpressSun herbicide trait allows producers to control a
significant number of broadleaf weeds post-emergent. Canada's
Plant Novel Traits law requires a full review of these types of
enhanced traits before production can be allowed into commercial
channels.
ExpressSun production in 2007 was required to be held off the
market until this clearance was authorized.
