Genetics LLC announced today that Bryan Kliewer has been
named Vice President, Sales & Marketing. Kliewer will be
responsible for developing and implementing the sales and
marketing strategies for the out-licensing of genetics and the
facilitation of trait licenses of Syngenta and Pioneer to
independent seed companies and other foundation seed houses. He
will also coordinate marketing and promotional efforts for
traits offered via GreenLeaf Genetics.
Kliewer has an extensive background in seed and traits sales and
marketing. He began his career with United Agri Products as a
seed and crop chemistry sales manager. He later worked at
Monsanto in various capacities including commercial strategy,
business development, and sales & marketing for the U.S. and
global crop chemistry, seed, and trait businesses. Most
recently, he was the Vice President of Corporate and Business
Development for United Industries' Lawn and Garden business.

Kliewer was raised on a farm in south-central Nebraska and
retains an interest in the family's farm. A graduate of the
University of Nebraska, he also earned a master’s degree from
North Carolina State University and an MBA from the University
of Missouri. Bryan and wife Suzanne will be relocating to Omaha,
Nebraska.
GreenLeaf Genetics is a joint venture formed by Syngenta and
Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., a subsidiary of DuPont, and
offers licenses for a broad range of corn and soybean genetics.
The company also coordinates the licensing of biotech traits
from its parent companies, including Syngenta Agrisure® traits
for herbicide tolerance and insect resistance and the Optimum®
GAT® herbicide tolerant trait developed by Pioneer. GreenLeaf
Genetics is currently helping more than 200 seed companies to
access genetics and traits from Syngenta and Pioneer. |
