Fontanelle Hybrids adds Krista Schifferns as a District Sales Manager

.

Fontanelle, Nebraska
August 4, 2008

“We are pleased to announce the addition of Krista Schifferns as a District Sales Manager to the Fontanelle sales team,” Steve Pike, Fontanelle president, Fontanelle, Nebraska said. “We have been fortunate with our growth in the eastern Colorado/western Nebraska area and decided it was time to take one larger sales territory and divide into two. Krista came to our attention due to her leadership skills and background in that area.”

“I grew up on a dryland farm and ranch in central eastern Colorado where my family still farms,” Schifferns said. “Graduating from Colorado State University with a double degree in agricultural business and animal science, I wanted to be able to put my training to work. I was attracted to Fontanelle because of the people. It seemed like a small family-oriented Company with the benefits of a large corporation, including access to leading genetics and research. My goal for my territory will be to increase awareness of the Fontanelle brand and continue to introduce more growers to Fontanelle products and customer service.”

Schifferns will be helped in her transition to her new territory by current District Sales Manager David Kinnison, Ovid, CO who will continue his duties in the other portion of the divided territory. Schifferns is located in Arriba and will cover the Nebraska counties of Chase and Dundy and the Colorado counties of: Adams, Arapahoe, El Paso, Elbert, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Philips, Washington and Yuma.

Fontanelle Hybrids markets corn, soybeans, grain sorghum, alfalfa and sunflowers in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri and portions of Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota and Texas as an independent operating company within American Seeds Inc, a holding company of Monsanto.
