Pride Seeds has announced
a second round of ten new hybrid introductions for the 2008
planting season. “As part of our largest new product launch in
Pride Seeds’ history we have introduced these new hybrids this
fall to complement and re-enforce our leadership position in key
technologies including Pride G3 second generation rootworm
hybrids,” notes Stephen Denys, Vice President of Sales and
Marketing with Pride Seeds. “Our goal is to meet the expanding
demand for technology hybrids that are delivering performance
and agronomic value to producers.”
“These new hybrids taken together with the products launched
this summer create a total of 29 new hybrids launched by Pride
Seeds this year,” adds Fred Sinclair, Manager of Product
Development and Agronomy with Pride Seeds. “These newest hybrids
include not only new Pride G3 hybrids but also high yielding
BtRR and single trait Roundup Ready hybrids that provide a yield
punch either alone or in refuge situations.”
Sinclair notes that Pride has moved exclusively to second
generation YieldGard VT Triple rootworm technology in all new
Pride G3 hybrids. “We have moved beyond first generation
rootworm technologies in order to provide the benefits of more
consistent rootworm control along with complete inside out
insect protection and the Roundup Ready Crop Safety Yield
Advantage™. The performance difference we are seeing in the
field is real and a key advantage to Pride G3 hybrids.”
