SeedVentures, Inc. and
Custom Seed Coaters Inc., parent companies of
Canadian Seed
Coaters (CSC) and
Precision Seed Coaters (PSC), announced significant
achievements at their recent corporate annual meeting:
In October of 2007 Canadian Seed Coaters completed its
200,000,000 lb of coated seed since its inception.
Mr. Bailie, General Manager of CSC when it was established 30
years ago, recalled the first five years of operation when only
2,640,000 coated pounds were produced in total.
Canadian Seed GM Kelly Ray said, “Canadian Seed Coaters has been
the market leader in the coated seed industry by providing our
customers with the best possible services and products. Complete
customer satisfaction is our main goal and 10 years of ISO
certification plus innovations such as the recent addition of a
Robotic Stacking System ensure that we continue to achieve the
highest quality in the industry.”
In September 07, Precision Seed Coaters achieved its latest
production goal by increasing production by more than 70% over
prior levels.
Since its establishment 19 years ago, over 50,000,000 lbs of
coated seed has been processed by the company with Bailie again
recalling the “early years” when less than 3,000,000 lbs were
produced in the first six years of operation.
“It is difficult to comprehend the early years of both companies
when we consider the combined annual production rates that exist
today,” said Bailie.
Precision Seed GM John Hawn said, “Our team is excited to
surpass the previous monthly thresholds. At the same time, we
remain intently focused on building our internal development and
coating competencies in order to push these milestones forward.
For instance, our strategy to vertically integrate our workforce
allows us to sustain productivity, quality, and overall
performance. Our team spirit and drive to provide excellence
clearly illustrates what PSC is all about.”
In closing the meeting Owner’s Representative Mark Kempf
recognized the management team for their accomplishments and
said, “This group’s commitment to giving our customers the
finest service and product quality has resulted in both
companies being considered hallmarks of the industry. Our twin
ISO certifications speak to that commitment, but the true
measure is always the satisfaction of our customers. We remain
extremely proud of our innovative staff and their achievements
