Innovotech files with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for novel seed treatment product

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
November 22, 2007

Innovotech (TSX VENTURE:IOT) has filed for regulatory approval with the US Environmental Protection Agency for AgressTM, its novel seed treatment for diseases of soy and bean crops. "Agress™ is a breakthrough seed treatment as it is the only product effective against both fungal and bacterial crop diseases. In addition, it has an outstanding environmental safety profile and is cost-competitive with current products" says Wolfgang Muhs, CEO of Innovotech.

Soy and bean crops alone represent greater than $500 million in sales potential annually for Agress™ in North and South America. The company has initial research results indicating the efficacy of Agress™ in treating other high value agricultural crops and is currently pursuing these opportunities in parallel with this regulatory filing.

Innovotech is a product development company focusing on the development of solutions to medical, agricultural and industrial problems caused by microbial biofilms. Biofilms are protected communities of microorganisms which are very common and very difficult to treat due to their inherent resistance. They have been implicated in a host of devastating infections in agriculture, human health and industry. No diagnostics or antibiotics are currently approved for use in infections involving biofilms.
