Wolf Trax PROTINUS promotes
early plant health for optimal plant performance
PROTINUS™, a new seed treatment product promising early
nutritional benefits for field crops will be available in time
for 2008 planting, Wolf Trax
announced today.
Key benefits of early nutrition and plant health such as early
emergence and greater root mass contribute to optimal plant
performance throughout the season. PROTINUS ensures the seed
gets the early nutrition it needs to reach its full genetic
potential.
“This product is quite different from anything else on the
market today,” says Brenda Dubeck, Manager Seed Products, Wolf
Trax. “The result of many years of research and development,
it’s scientifically formulated to work with the seed, enhancing
the natural processes of nutrient uptake.”
When applied to seed, PROTINUS acts in two ways to promote early
plant health. The seed nutrition product alters (lowers) the pH
in the soil adjacent to the seed, enabling the plant to take up
nutrients more easily. In addition, the product delivers four
key essential micro elements for early plant health, directly
into the seed uptake zone.
“The bottom line is that PROTINUS provides insurance against
conditions that are not optimal,” says Dubeck. “Seed providers
will be interested in this product because it will get their
seed off to a great start, and increase the opportunity to reach
maximum yield potential.”
PROTINUS has been tested on major field crops including corn,
soybeans, rice, wheat and cotton. According to Dubeck, PROTINUS
will be in limited supply in 2008.
