Pride Seeds has
announced that all Pride G3 hybrids will feature new YieldGard
VT Triple technology. “Pride is taking full advantage of the
introduction of the new VecTran™ insertion process to upgrade
our complete Pride G3 portfolio to the new YieldGard VT Triple
technology,” notes Stephen Denys, Vice President of Sales and
Marketing for Pride Seeds in Canada. “By combining our premier
genetics with new YieldGard VT Triple technology, we will be
able to offer a new level of performance to Canadian corn
producers in our Pride G3 hybrids.”
Pride G3 hybrids will utilize the
new VecTran™ transformation technology, which provides a more
direct insertion of multiple value added traits into the plant.
“In addition to the proven control of corn borer and the Roundup
Ready® crop safety yield advantage already provided in Pride G3
hybrids, VecTran technology delivers a more consistent,
concentrated and evenly distributed barrier of insect protection
across corn plant roots,” notes Fred Sinclair, Product
Development Manager with Pride Seeds. The result is more
consistent and superior corn rootworm control when compared to
other technologies available on the market today. “We are seeing
a yield advantage in plots that exceeds the average 14
bushels/acre gain experienced with our first generation triple
stacked products when compared to conventional production
systems.”
