Nunhems USA expands its crop team structure throught new hires and promotions

Parma, Idaho
May 4, 2007

Parma-based Nunhems USA, a world leader in the development, production and marketing of hybrid vegetable seed and seed technology, announces changes in its crop team structure.

Carl Hill (left) was promoted to Crop Sales Manager (CSM) for Processing Tomatoes and Pickling cucumbers. The strength and growth of these business segments led the company to add Hill’s new position to the team structure. Hill joined Nunhems as an account manger over a year ago and brought with him twenty years of experience in the processing tomato industry. Hill will lead these crop teams throughout North and South America to define and develop sales efforts and support breeding and product development.

In the Melon and Watermelon crop teams, several changes have occurred:

Jose Gomez (right) has been hired as CSM for both the Melon and Watermelon crop teams. These two segments have been combined under Gomez to further strengthen Nunhems’ presence in these markets. Gomez will bring to the team his eighteen years experience in the seed industry and the watermelon and melon industry.

Alvaro Cordero, former CSM for melons, has shifted over to Downstream Marketing for Fresh Cut.

Bob Miller, former CSM for watermelon, moved into his new position as Account Manager within the Watermelon and Melon crop teams.

“The knowledge and significant experience that Cordero and Miller have in these markets will be extremely valuable as we move forward in these strategic crops,” explained Clark Huffman, Nunhems’ Director of Sales & Marketing for the Americas.

“We are very excited to announce these new roles within our crop teams,” Huffman continued. “These changes further demonstrate Nunhems’ commitment to providing global expertise to customers all over the world.”
