A bright outlook for oaten hay and
grain oats has generated strong demand from growers and
consultants for best management oat growing practices.
A GRDC supported project
has now made it easier to access this information.
A large volume of information resulted from the 2004
introduction of the 'Oat Agronomy and Industry Development into
the Western Region' project.
Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) Oat Industry
Development Officer, Kellie Winfield, recommends visiting
DAFWA's website
www.agric.wa.gov.au and selecting crops from the left menu,
then oats from the main menu.
