Pacific Seeds International Division changies its name to Advanta International

.

Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia
June 27, 2007

The name of Pacific Seeds International Division is changing to Advanta International. Advanta International will become a sister company to the four domestic operating units, those being:

  • Pacific Seeds Australia,

  • Pacific Seeds Thailand,

  • Advanta India, and

  • Advanta Semillas Argentina.

Advanta International’s major focus is to generate sales of our sister companies’ products in all countries outside of Australia, Thailand, India and Argentina as well as actively searching for new investment opportunities for the Advanta Group.

Howard Morris is the Director for Advanta International and David Callachor will continue on as General Manager for East Asia.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Gardner who will be taking on the role of General Manager for West Asia. Nick first started at Pacific Seeds back in 1991 as the Pastures Business Manager and then moved into the position of Export Business Manager. After taking a break from the industry for two and a half years, Nick is back with us and ready for the challenges of his new role. Nick is well known to members of the Australian Seed Industry and brings with him vast international seed business knowledge.

We are also pleased to welcome Graeme Smith who has been promoted to the position of Advanta Global Quality Assurance Manager. His knowledge and 20 years experience in seed technology, post harvest management, processing, seed treatments, GMO’s and general Quality Assurance will be used in supporting the global business in achieving uniform and high quality standards in all Advanta Seeds business units. Graeme is well known to members of ASF for his active participation in the Biotech Committee, NE Region Chairman and Board Member of the Australian Seeds Authority. Although Graeme will now have increased responsibilities through all Advanta operating units he will continue to be based in Toowoomba and retaining Pacific Seeds representation to ASF.

In the coming months new appointments will also be made in South America, Asia and the Middle East.

These are exciting times, and we look forward to continuing to grow with all companies within the Advanta Group.
