Although the official
U.S. Department of Agriculture
report will not be released until June 29, the
National Corn
Growers Association (NCGA) is seeing forecasts that this
year’s corn crop will be as large or larger than forecast.
Bloomberg News is
reporting that commodity researcher
Informa Economics Inc.
says farmers will plant more corn and soybeans than the
March USDA forecast as growers plant into winter wheat
fields that were damaged by a freeze in April.
Informa reportedly estimates that actual corn acres will exceed
estimates by more than 250,000 acres. |
