ALMACO will introduce two new research plot planting
technologies at an upcoming field day on June 26th in Nevada,
Iowa.
ALMACO's patented Global
Positioning System (GPS) plot tripping technology marketed
as SKYTRIP will be on display for users to experience
first hand the future of research plot planting.
ALMACO has developed a cable-less
tripping system for use in the plot research arena that uses GPS
information to accurately plant research plots when used in
conjunction with their planting equipment. This user friendly
technology provides greater efficiency during the planting
process with less moving parts on the planters for a safer
working environment. It can be used with both cone type planters
as well as ALMACO's Seedpro planter and is also available as a
retrofit on existing planters.
ALMACO will also be demonstrating its new Windows-based,
precision planter control system, The SEEDPRO 360. This new
operating system with touch screen interaction allows
researchers to quickly and easily calibrate, operate, and change
plot and field specifications with minimal inputs and
adjustments. In addition, it has a customized performance
monitoring system that continuously reviews seed planting
performance and data for further analysis.
ALMACO will have both of these
state of the art technologies available for hands-on operation
in the field from 1pm to 5pm on June 26th followed by a
pork chop barbeque and social hour for all attendees.
Registration is required for
this free event and must be done so by June 21st by
emailing Todd Vincent, Senior Sales Executive at
