Stauffer Seeds launches 2008 sales season

.

Carroll, Iowa
July 30, 2007

Stauffer Seeds held its annual meeting on July 24-26, 2007, and introduced their 2008 product line to field sales staff and dealers. In doing so, Craig Williams, director of Midwest operations for Stauffer’s parent company, said their focus on doing the right thing for their customers remains their foremost commitment.

“We will continue to acquire the best genetics and traits available for our customers’ farms,” Williams remarked. “We will continue to insist on the highest quality seed we can provide as well as research and promote new technologies and new germplasm right for our customers.”

An independent, family-owned seed company, Stauffer has access to technology from the industry’s leading providers. Their independence also allows Stauffer to apply those technology traits to outstanding germplasm resulting in unique combinations unavailable from any other seed company.

“Our product lineup for 2008 includes quad, triple, dual, and single trait corn hybrids along with conventional choices as well,” stated Mike Smidt, director of sales and marketing at Stauffer. “Our sales territory stretches from Minnesota to Texas, Illinois to Colorado. Our customers can remain assured we have the products they want to plant on their farms in the combinations which give them control over their insect and weed management programs.”

Williams explained the company’s philosophy and intentions with the following illustration:

  • Best Traits + Lousy Hybrid = Lousy Hybrid
  • Good Hybrid + No Traits = Good Hybrid
  • Right Hybrid + Right Traits = Great Hybrid for Our Customer

Stauffer Seeds is owned by Lawhon Farm Services of McCrory, Arkansas. The company’s headquarters is located in Carroll, Iowa.
