Mr Gianni Bernardotto is to be
appointed as Director Marketing & Sales of
De Ruiter Seeds with
effect from September 1, 2007.
Mr Gianni Bernardotto (53) will bring his complement of
operational and strategic marketing talents to DRS. These
capabilities will be invaluable to the company during what we
anticipate will be great change in the vegetable seeds industry,
driven by ongoing technological developments and globalization
of markets.
Mr Gianni Bernardotto will join DRS from Ball Horticulture, one
of the world’s leading flower companies, where he was Managing
Director of the European activities. From 1993 to 2004 he was
Business Director Flowers for Syngenta, responsible for the
worldwide activities (R&D, supply chain and Marketing & Sales).
From 1979 to 1993 he held various positions within Syngenta,
amongst others Product Manager Vegetable Seeds and Managing
Director S&G Italy. He graduated from Istituto di Agronomia
Tropicale in Florence and studied at Istituto Tecnico Agrario in
Lonigo (IT).
De Ruiter Seeds is a family of businesses, focussing its
activities in vegetable seeds on breeding, production and
marketing of 5 vegetable crops (tomato, pepper, cucumber, melon
and aubergine) to customers in the top-end of the market around
the globe. |
