Utrecht, The Netherlands
January 24, 2007

Astec Global President, Mr. Herman ter Haar, is pleased to announce that Frederick (Freek) Schreurs (photo) has accepted to join the Astec Management Team in the position of Global Director New Business.

Frederick Schreurs has outstanding experience in the global seed enhancement industry, both in operations and in the introduction of new technology projects with global customers. He held different international positions in these fields for over a decade with Germains Technology Group (GTG). Previously Frederick worked in the US and in Europe as Production Manager vegetative propagation for Royal van Zanten.

Frederick Schreurs will improve the connection between our pipeline of innovations (like f.e. the Q2 24 hour germination test) with our customers, the seed companies. Frederick is known and highly respected in the industry as a team player, always looking for win-win solutions, which fits perfectly with Astec’s philosophy.

With Freek joining Astec, immediately after strengthening our R&D with adding Dr. Sam Fletcher, we increase our commitment to bring new seed cleaning & enhancement technologies to our customers around the world.

Frederick Schreurs stated that being able to work with the many new exciting technologies is a real challenge. The developments in the global Seed Technology sector and Astec’s business model go hand in hand, and Freek’s main objective is to support Astec’s growth through building strong partnerships in the seed industry.

Astec Global is the leading company in bringing new seed enhancement technologies to the market, with operational businesses in the USA, Europe, Africa and SE Asia.
