Brand Seeds increases its broad corn portfolio with the
addition of 13 new hybrids for a total of 51 new products for
the 2007 planting season. These new products, 11 of which
include Agrisure™ traits for insect control and herbicide
tolerance, provide growers expanded options for higher yields
and better returns.
The new hybrids are broadly adapted with maturities ranging from
a very early 71 days to full season, 113 days. They feature
agronomic characteristics for maximum performance across varied
environments. For example, several are well-suited for
corn-on-corn acres and others have strong emergence and seedling
growth for early planted acres. For additional early season
insect and disease protection, all NK Brand hybrids are treated
with Cruiser Extreme® 250 seed treatment.
“With the addition of these hybrids for the 2007 growing season,
we are delivering on our commitment to help growers maximize
yields,” said Marshall Kostiuk, NK Brand corn marketing manager.
“Backed by the resources and research of Syngenta™, we are able
to move quickly through the research and production process to
meet in-field needs.”
For the 2007 season, growers who plant a corn hybrid with any
Agrisure trait, receive comprehensive assurances such as added
protection against adverse weather conditions and other
occurrences that result in trait loss. In addition, they
automatically are eligible for AgriEdge™ Corn programs, which
combine premium genetics, traits and crop protection solutions
to maximize yield. AgriEdge includes flexibility in crop input
decisions with additional assurances and trait reinvestments.
