BrettYoung Seeds announces brand consolidation
Winnipeg, Manitoba
September 5, 2006

Effective immediately BrettYoung Seeds Ltd. is consolidating all existing product brands under one brand, BrettYoung. Prairie Seeds, LiBred, Turfbred and Purebred brands will cease to exist. To meet the needs of our customers BrettYoung has combined the individual brand sales teams into one sales force.

Lloyd Dyck, CEO of BrettYoung, says, “In order to compete in today’s marketplace we need to be focused yet flexible. By consolidating under one brand we are now able to offer all our products, formerly under different brands, to our entire retail network. As well, by managing one brand (rather than several) this allows us to dedicate the resources necessary to build strong service support for our customers. Moving forward we will be introducing some exciting new products, specifically our second generation Ogura canola hybrids, hybrid alfalfa and BioBOOST, a growth promoting canola inoculant. These products will be available through our retail network in Western Canada and North Dakota.”

BrettYoung processes, retails and wholesales leading canola, forage and turf products around the world. Headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, BrettYoung is a privately held company with 200 employees and facilities across Western Canada.
