The Seedsmen Association of Andhra Pradesh, India formerly functioning in the name of Seed Grower and Merchant and Nurserymen Association of Andhra Pradesh, is now a registered Society with a membership of more than 500, comprising seed firms, dealers and individual farmers.

The Association strives to promote the interest of seeds men in the state of Andhra Pradesh, in India in matters related to seed production, processing and certification.

The Association at its annual general body meeting elected the executive for the biennium 2006-08 with Mr.G.V. Bhaskara Rao, a leading seed industrialist and the Managing Director of the Kaveri Seeds Ltd., Hyderabad, as its new President.

The Association has brought out in the past two important publications:
i) Seed Industry in Andhra Pradesh and
ii) Seed Valley Project for Andhra Pradesh.
