Hollar Seeds’ board of
directors appointed Andy Medina president today, effective
January 1st, 2008. Andy joined Hollar Seeds in August 2004 in a
management role designed to improve operations in several
departments. The ease and quickness in which he filled the roles
has impressed team members at every level, and has given Andy
the knowledge that he has chosen the right career path. Andy is
a graduate from the Colorado School of Mines (1999). Before
starting at Hollar Seeds in 2004 he worked for Archer Daniels
Midland, ascending to the position of Plant Superintendent.
Larry Hollar, president since 1979, will continue on a full time
basis as Chairman of the Board. Larry says that “Andy has
accomplished every goal that we set for him. Family businesses
stay young by allowing younger leaders to have control. I have
every confidence in Andy, our plant breeders, and the rest of
our staff. Our research pipeline is full of great products for
the future.”
