Charbonneau Ltd, which operates under the name of Semences
BC in Québec and under Landmark Vegetable Seed in the rest of
Canada, and the distribution capacity of
Agrocentre Fertibec, will combine to form an alliance which
will be proposing a complete offer of products and services to
vegetable growers of Quebec.
Agrocentre Fertibec is located in St-Remi, Quebec, Canada. It
manufactures and distributes fertilizer, seed (cash crops) and
crop protection products to growers of Quebec. This business
already enjoys a strong presence with the vegetable growers of
western Quebec, offering them fertilizers and crop protection
products, as well as agronomic and custom application services.
An agreement with Farm Credit of Canada also allows Agrocentre
Fertibec to offer competitive financing to their customers.
Mr Alain
Charbonneau will still be strongly involved in this new
venture as he will assume the position of director of the
vegetable seed division. He will be supported by the actual
Semences BC personnel and the additional personnel from
Agrocentre Fertibec for the functions of sales, logistics and
administration. This alliance will double the personnel
dedicated to vegetable seed sales.

Presentation of Agrocentre Fertibec Inc:
Agrocentre Fertibec is a seed, crop protection and fertilizer
distributor located in St-Remi, Quebec, Canada. We also own
distribution outlets located in Ste-Martine and Huntingdon.
Our mission is to provide solutions to agronomic challenges in a
way to optimize crop performance by counseling and distributing
all the cropping inputs required by growers. Our business has
serviced its customers for over 30 years and we have a staff of
10 technical representatives, some of whom are specialized in
vegetable crops. Our geographical location, 30 minutes
south-west of Montreal, provides us with a strategic position
since we deal with both vegetable and cash crop customers and we
find the vast majority of the horticultural production and
approximately 50% of the cash crop production within a 60 miles
radius from St-Remi.
Agrocentre Fertibec is a joint venture between LCF, a leader in
Quebec agriculture, and two partners: Richard Adam and Jean-Luc
Yelle. Both partners have a degree in Agricultural Science and a
Master in Business Administration. We both share the same
passion for agriculture and take pride in working hand in hand
with our customers and suppliers to help them develop successful
businesses.
Adding vegetable seed to our product portfolio will allow us to
complete our offer to our horticultural customer base and will

et sous Landmark Vegetable Seed ailleurs au Canada, et
d’Agrocentre Fertibec sera combinée pour ainsi former une
alliance qui pourra faire une offre globale de produits et
services destinés aux producteurs maraîchers.
Agrocentre Fertibec est une entreprise située à St-Rémi, Québec,
Canada qui fabrique et distribue des fertilisants, semences
(grandes cultures) et produits de phytoprotection aux
agriculteurs du Québec. Dans le domaine des fertilisants,
produits de phytoprotection ainsi que des services agronomiques
et travaux à forfait, cette entreprise détient déjà une part de
marché significative chez les producteurs maraîchers. Elle est
également partenaire avec Financement Agricole Canada dans le
cadre du programme d’Alliance qui permet d’offrir aux
producteurs un financement à un taux compétitif sur leurs
achats.
Semences BC, riche de son expérience de plus de 40 ans, a su se
positionner comme un des spécialistes de la distribution des
semences de légumes. M. Alain Charbonneau continuera d’occuper
le rôle de directeur de la division semences de légumes. Il
pourra également compter sur le support du personnel qui est
déjà en place chez Semences BC ainsi que du support additionnel
du personnel d’Agrocentre Fertibec pour les fonctions de ventes,
logistique et administration. Cette alliance doublera le
personnel dédié aux ventes de semences de légumes.

de Semences BC – Agrocentre Fertibec demeureront les mêmes.
