Pete Kapustka joins Stauffer Seeds as a field sales manager covering central Iowa
Carroll, Iowa
September 5, 2006

As the Stauffer Seeds sales territory continues to expand, Pete Kapustka as joined the company as a field sales manager covering central Iowa.

“Stauffer is pleased to have Pete on our team, helping introduce our product line to central Iowa,” remarked Mike Smidt, Stauffer Seeds director of sales and marketing. “He brings a farm background as well as experience in agronomy issues and seeds sales to our company and will provide outstanding representation for our resurgent brand.”

A graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in ag business, Kapustka’s career includes experience with Land O’Lakes, Growmark, and Great Lakes Hybrids. His passion is for providing service along with progressive products.

“A lot of companies talk about service, quality, and performance on the farm,” he observed. “Now that large corporations – multi-national corporations – are involved in the seed business, many farmers not only miss contact with the individual representing the company, they have a difficult time finding representatives with knowledge of the industry, products, and their territory.”

Kapustka is eager to get out in the country talking with growers about Stauffer Seeds. “They are very dedicated to being farmer focused,” he stated. “Their family ownership helps them solidify that strategy of doing the right thing for the farmer. I’m excited to have their level of expertise at my disposal to serve farmers.”

Kapustka resides in Fort Dodge with his wife, Renee. Their family includes daughter Haley, 11, and son, Dominic, 18, as well as sons Nick and Andy who are grown. He is a native of north central Iowa having grown up in the Barnum area.
