The Community Plant Variety
Office (CPVO) will present Community plant breeders’ rights
at Horti Fair 2006 (31
October - 3 November) on a stand shared with the Board for Plant
Varieties (NL) and Naktuinbouw (NL). The stand is placed in the
Park hall number 08.1001.
The
International Horti Fair offers an excellent opportunity for the
CPVO to explain its mission, meet its clients and be informed on
the newest developments in ornamental and vegetable breeding.
The cooperation with the organizations mentioned above
illustrates the cordial relationship of the CPVO with the
national PVR authorities and the examination offices performing
the technical assessment of varieties, candidate for PVR
protection.
On Thursday
1st November, Bart Kiewiet, President of the CPVO, will make
a short presentation on “Plant Breeders’ Rights, an important
tool for the protection of new plant varieties”. The
presentation will take place at the ‘House of Genetics’ in the
Park hall number 08.6006 at 12:30.
For the
seventh time the International Horti Fair is being held in the
Amsterdam RAI. In recent years, the successful formula has
attracted 55,000 trade visitors from more than one hundred
countries, while the upwards of 1000 exhibitors represent around
50 countries.
The
strong group of exhibitors at the International Horti Fair is
horticulture-wide and chain-deep, including supplies, commerce
and services. |
