Three new
NK® Brand corn hybrids with
the unique Agrisure™ RW trait from
Syngenta further
expand the company’s lineup for the 2007 growing season.
These hybrids deliver excellent control of northern,
western and Mexican corn rootworm (CRW) first instar larvae,
providing growers a new weapon in the battle against the
corn rootworm, known as the “billion dollar pest.”
“Introducing Agrisure RW in
elite NK Brand genetics offers growers top yield performance
under a broad range of conditions,” says Marshall Kostiuk,
NK Brand corn marketing manager. “Under CRW infestations,
hybrids with Agrisure RW have demonstrated up to a 32 bushel
per acre yield advantage. Healthier plants mean consistent
performance even under severe drought. “
The new NK Brand Agrisure RW
hybrids are broadly adapted with maturities ranging from 102
to 110 days. One of the new hybrids is stacked with
glyphosate tolerance offering growers a valuable weed
management tool. For additional early season insect and
disease protection, all NK Brand hybrids are treated with
Cruiser Extreme® 250.
For the 2007 season, growers
who plant a corn hybrid with Agrisure RW or any Agrisure
trait, receive comprehensive assurances such as added
protection against adverse weather conditions and other
occurrences that result in trait loss. Growers can have
confidence in the performance of Agrisure RW hybrids because
they are backed by an additional Agrisure RW Performance
Assurance, offering a trait refund if CRW feeding exceeds
the economic threshold. In addition, they automatically are
eligible for AgriEdge™ Corn programs, which combine premium
genetics, traits and crop protection solutions to maximize
yield.
“NK Brand Agrisure RW hybrids
combined with AgriEdge provides growers flexibility to focus
on solutions that result in a better return on every acre,”
concludes Kostiuk.
