Golden Harvest Seeds offers new corn and soybean hybrids to help growers take control
Waterloo, Nebraska
October 9, 2006

Golden Harvest Seeds will offer growers more control of what they plant in their fields for 2007. With an expanded scope of genetics, increased competition in the marketplace and the power to choose what is best for their own operation, farmers can find increased profitability in the company’s product line-up.

Combined with Golden Harvest’s returning conventional and technology seed products, farmers will find 52 new corn hybrids and 13 soybean varieties.

Genetics

Golden Harvest is serious about genetics and biotechnology. Agronomists research every product variation in every location. For corn alone, that amounts to over 1.5 million test plots each year. And with the backing of Syngenta, a global leader in agribusiness research and technology, Golden Harvest can focus on the needs of producers at the local level.

Increased Competition

More research develops more product choices. Those choices add up to additional options for farmers who previously had few directions to go in when looking for seeds hybrids. More competition benefits growers by not allowing one company to monopolize the market and control prices.

Power to Choose

The farmer sales representatives at Golden Harvest know what that grower need options, including the option to make their own decisions on what they plant. The power of choice allows growers the flexibility they need to run their business independently.

The new hybrids add to an already extensive catalog of choices for America’s farmers:

  • H-7625HX/LL is a widely adapted, high-yield corn hybrid with Herculex® and Liberty Link®
  • L-8H26Bt/RR is a corn hybrid with excellent plant health, good roots and stalk strength featuring YieldGuard® Corn Borer, Roundup Ready® Corn 2 and Market Choices™
  • H-8254GT features Agrisure™ Glyphosate and Market Choices in a corn hybrid that has excellent drought tolerance, fast emergence and does well against Northern Corn Leaf Blight
  • H-8952CB/LL is highlighted by strong emergence, Gray Leaf Spot tolerance and strong root strength with Agrisure Corn Borer, YieldGuard and Liberty Link

“We know that taking control begins with providing farmers choices in what they seed,” said Rob Robinson, Golden Harvest operating head. “Our growing list of seed varieties proves that we are dedicated to advancing agronomy technology in order to develop solutions for future challenges.”
