September 29, 2006The
next generation of grain growers, agronomists and researchers is
being urged to apply now for scholarships from the
Grains Research and Development
Corporation (GRDC).
Opportunities are open to
undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as those
involved in full-time study other than a tertiary degree.
Scientists, technical staff and
others already working in the industry can also apply for
funding through fellowships and in-service training.
GRDC Northern Region Panel
member, Di Bentley, said these scholarships provide generous
support for students at a range of levels.
“There are many different and
exciting career opportunities in the grains industry and the
scholarships are an excellent way for GRDC to make it easier for
people to consider a career in this area,” Ms Bentley said.
Applications close on Friday,
27 October 2006.
