Illinois Foundation Seeds announces changes in executive staff

The Illinois Foundation Seeds, Inc. (IFSI) Board of Directors has elected four executive positions effective October 1, 2006. Dale Cochran will serve as Chief Executive Officer, John Hiser, President and George Terry, Chief Financial Officer.

IFSI is pleased to announce that Tim Johnson has joined the executive team as Vice-President. Tim will continue as President of Seed Genetics, Inc. (SGI) a wholly owned subsidiary of IFSI.

In the roll as Vice-President, Tim will provide leadership in dent corn research and development. Strategic planning and industry prospective will be key contributions in working with the research team.

SGI will continue to be a strong licensing and sales company under Tim’s direction, serving seed companies with high performing corn genetic and trait offerings. He brings twenty nine years of industry experience and has been President of SGI since 1997. IFSI welcomes Tim to the management team and ask that you join us in congratulating him on his new position.

IFSI was founded in 1937 and maintains its commitment to research in both dent and sweet corn.

SGI was founded in 1988 and acquired by IFSI in 2003.
