Growers can rely on proven varieties that best fit farming
practices
FiberMax® Cotton Seed and
Bayer CropScience
have announced an enhanced Shared Risk Program for FiberMax
and AFD™ Cotton Seed varieties for Texas, New Mexico,
Oklahoma and Kansas due to excessively dry conditions in
those areas.
From the Lubbock, Texas,
headquarters, FiberMax Marketing Manager Jeff Brehmer said,
“We’re partnering with growers so their opportunities to
produce the best quality cotton with the best traits to fit
their farming practices are not limited.”
Eligible FiberMax and AFD
varieties with the LibertyLink™ Cotton System, which
includes reimbursements of IGNITE® 280 Herbicide
applications, will be covered on crop destruct acres.
Eligible FiberMax and AFD varieties containing Monsanto
traits that yield 150 lbs or fewer per acre due to drought
will qualify for seed cost reimbursement.
The Shared Risk Program
does not include Monsanto technology fees. Growers should
contact Monsanto for information regarding Roundup Rewards®.
Seed distributors and
dealers were notified of enhancements to the annual Shared
Risk program on April 18. The program also allows for
re-applications of TEMIK® Insecticide/Nematicide or GAUCHO®
GRANDE Seed-Applied Insecticide under certain conditions.
