Dairyland Seed recently announced the release of 27 new corn hybrids for the 2007 planting season.  Each of these varieties can be seen at research tours and field days through the Midwest this fall.  Descriptions of these new products follow:

81 Day Stealth-7181

Early flowering, early maturity dent by dent Stacked RR/YGCB hybrid.  Fast grain set-up with strong yields. Tremendous combination of strong roots, stalks and excellent staygreen. Very strong dry down.  Excels at high plant populations particularly on loams as well as clays and sandy soils.

87 Day Silage Maturity  HiD.F.-3087/RR

A tall, high tonnage RR silage hybrid.  Outstanding plant health and high ratings for silage yield.  High starch content.  Very good scores for NDF whole plant digestibility, kernel texture and plant synchronicity.  High milk per ton rating.

89 Day Stealth-1489

 Strong stalk strength and excellent staygreen.  Great disease and drought resistance.  Very good dry down with top notch test weight.  Expresses medium to high ear flexibility.  Well suited for high plant population.  Strong versatility across most soil types.

94 Day Silage Maturity HiD.F.-3094/RR

This HiD.F.® RR hybrid excels in its silage yield.  Excellent whole plant digestibility, soft kernel texture and crude protein features.  Very good NDF digestibility.  Excellent milk/acre and milk/ton ratings.

97 Day Stealth-9096

YGPL/RR hybrid featuring wide adaptability with excellent yield potential, strong roots and fast drydown traits.  Terrific at high plant populations.  Exceptional drought tolerance.  A medium height plant with a showy, semi-upright leaf structure. 

98 Day Stealth-1698

Great staygreen and disease resistance.  Versatile in both early and later zones.  Fast drydown.  Excels at high plant populations.  Excellent in loam soils while strong in clay soils.  Very receptive to no-till and corn-on-corn environments.

Very tall silage hybrid that delivers excellent silage yield results.  Excellent starch content with soft-kernels.  Strong NDF and whole plant digestibility benefits.  Top overall silage rating.  Receives our best rating for milk per acre and a strong milk per ton rating.

103/101 Day Stealth-1603

Widely adapted, high yielding hybrid.  A taller hybrid that excels at high plant population and performs well in corn-on-corn.  Strong disease resistance.  Kernel rows average 18-20 with very good dry down.  Ear flexibility is medium to high.
