Hoegemeyer Hybrids names seed industry veteran William Olson to specialty crop division
Hooper, Nebraska
January 12, 2006

Seed industry veteran William Olson was recently named PuraMaize™ Product Development Manager by Hoegemeyer Hybrids.  An all-natural corn system that allows the production of GMO and non-GMO cornfields side by side, PuraMaize was revolutionary in its development and was patented in 2005.

Olson, a former sales development manager with Syngenta Seeds, will direct market development activities with PuraMaize while pursuing marketing opportunities in the white and yellow food grade and specialty markets for Hoegemeyer Hybrids.

Olson, who spent 3 years in his previous position developing and maintaining brand awareness within the processor and seed business will use his extensive industry background to expand the Hoegemeyer brand lines of corn, soybeans and sorghum into new markets.

A native Nebraskan, Olson holds a B.S. in agronomy and crop production from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.  He also spent 10 years as a product specialist/brand manager with Wilson Genetics and 6 years as a district sales manager with Sands of Iowa.

Hoegemeyer Hybrids was formed in 1937 and is committed to the development of industry-leading genetics.
