Dairyland Seed releases new soybean varieties

Dairyland Seed recently announced the release of 18 new soybean varieties for the 2007 planting season.  Each of these varieties can be seen at research tours and field days throughout the Midwest this fall.  The descriptions of the new products for this area include:

00.7      DSR-C700/RRSTS

High yield is assured with excellent genetics.  Great iron chlorosis tolerance, moderate brown stem resistance and very good white mold tolerance. Features a medium-sized plant canopy that exhibiting gray pubescence, brown pod color and a gray hilum color. 

0.9        DSR-0903/RR

Very strong product expressing a full, wide plant canopy in a light tawny plant color.  Very good iron chlorosis tolerance.  Moderate brown stem resistance and good white mold tolerance.  Wide adaptation across soil types.  Attractive brown pods deliver outstanding grain yields.

1.3        DSR-1302/RRSTS

Strong yielding soybean variety with a light tawny appearance.  Terrific combination of moderate brown stem resistance, excellent phytophthora protection and good white mold tolerance.  Tan pods deliver top end yield. 

1.5        DSR-1520/RR

Very high yielding light tawny variety that provides wide adaptation and stress tolerance.  Moderate brown stem resistance combines with very good phytophthora tolerance to deliver excellent plant health. 

1.7        DSR-1701/RRSTS

Terrific soybean variety with great yield expression.  Strong genetic package highlighted by outstanding brown stem resistance and exceptional white mold protection.  Medium plant canopy with attractive light tawny appearance and brown pod color.

2.0        SCN      DSR-2000/RRSTS

 Strong, disease resistance benefits including moderate brown stem resistance, excellent phytophthora tolerance, very good white mold tolerance and strong iron chlorosis tolerance.  Race 3 cyst nematode resistance.  Excellent yield strength.

2.2        DSR-2200/RR

Extremely high yield potential.  Features terrific brown stem and white mold tolerance plus strong phytophthora tolerance.  Great eye appealing light tawny plants with brown pod color.  Stable, strong yields throughout the Soybean Belt!

2.2        DSR-22/STS-UL brand

1% Ultra Low Linolenic fatty acid breakthrough with terrific STS herbicide tolerance.  Attractive light tawny plant with very good phytophthora tolerance protection.  Strong yields.  DSR-22/STS-UL is a Dairyland Seed brand name and variety is not stated.

2.3        DSR-2300/RR

A dynamic, high yielding variety.  Very strong iron chlorosis tolerance with moderate brown stem resistance and solid phytophthora tolerance.  Exceptional standability and intriguing genetics provide extremely high yield potential.

2.5        DSR-2500/RRSTS

Strong yield leader. Features outstanding phytophthora field tolerance in addition to 1k gene phytophthora resistance.  Very good iron chlorosis and white mold tolerance. Very attractive, full canopied soybean variety with excellent standablility and stable, high yields.

2.6        SCN      DSR-2511/RR

Excellent, high yield potential.  Medium-bush plant type with an extraordinary defense system providing strong disease protection with cyst nematode resistance.  Yield is outstanding regardless of cyst pressure.  Standability is terrific allowing for more northern movement.

2.7        DSR-2702/RRSTS

Excellent yield strength East to West throughout the SOYBEAN belt!  Wide soil adaptation.  Attractive, light tawny plant with medium-sized canopy structure.  Features brown pod color.

2.8        SCN      DSR-2820/RR

Full, bushy and attractive plan.  Exceptionally high yields.  Wide adaptation.  Superb standability and terrific phytophthora tolerance provide a high yield environment for this light tawny plant.  Healthy, season-long growth and cyst nematode field resistance.

2.9        SCN      DSR-2929/RR

High yielding late group II cyst nematode resistant line that outyields our competitions’ best varieties with or without cyst pressure.  Very good phytophthora and white mold tolerance.  Versatile soil adaptation.  Attractive light tawny, medium sized plant canopy structure. 

3.0     DSR-3003/RRSTS

Powerful genetics for the late group II, early group III maturity spectrum.  Strong, season-long disease resistance package highlighted by excellent phytophthora tolerance and great white mold resistance. 

3.1        SCN      DSR-3130/RR

Simply awesome yields on all soils!  Very strong adaptation in all early group III planting environments.  Strong defense system including cyst nematode resistance, exceptional phytophthora tolerance and sudden death syndrome protection.

3.4        SCN                  DSR-3400/RR

Exceptional yield potential in all mid group III maturity segments including Ohio.  Full wide robust plant canopy with excellent protection from cyst nematode, phytophthora, brown stem, white mold and sudden death syndrome.  Outstanding performance on black fertile soils, sandy loams and tough tight clays.  Tawny plant. 

3.6        SCN      DSR-3603/RR

Exceptional grain yields from genetics that excel in the presence or absence of cyst nematodes.  Excellent phytophthora protection with the added Rps1k gene.  Great plant health optimizes yield potential.
