Andy Miller, Director for the
Indiana State Department of Agriculture will be a guest
speaker at Becknology Days (formerly Beck’s Pre-Harvest
Field Show), August 24, 2006 at 10:30 am and again at 1:30
pm. Director Miller will be providing guests, from all over
Indiana and parts of Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois,
an update to Indiana’s strategic agricultural development
plan, with an emphasis on our nation’s first Bio Town
located in Reynolds, Indiana, as well as the current status
of Indiana’s Bio Energy development progress and direction.
The Indiana Soybean Board,
Countrymark Co-op, and Beck’s Hybrids will sponsor a Soy
Biodiesel & E85 promotion during this three day event for
their customers in support of the State Department of
Agriculture’s efforts in promoting the use of Bio Energy.
In addition, representatives from Chevy, Ford and Chrysler
will be in attendance featuring vehicles that operate on the
Biodiesel and E85 fuels.
Becknology Days is an annual
event held at the home office of Beck’s Hybrids in Atlanta,
IN and this year’s crowd is expected to exceed 7,000 people
over the three days. Becknology Days will be held on August
24, 25, and 26, 2006 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm providing
practical farm research tours with the customer in mind,
agricultural educational information, and fun activities for
the entire family.
