major sponsors in the upcoming Indiana “Ag Matters Day”, being
held at Indiana Farmfest at the Tipton County 4-H Fair Grounds
in Tipton, IN on Thursday September 15, 2005. The Indiana “Ag
Matters Day” forum will begin at 9:00 am with a closing
presentation at 3:00 pm.
Visitors to the show will learn
first hand the most up-to-date information concerning Indiana’s
strategic plan for agriculture directly from our newly formed
State Department of Agriculture. Scheduled presentations include
Lieutenant Governor, Becky Skillman, State Director of
Agriculture, Andy Miller, and Deputy Director of Agriculture,
Beth Bechdol. Additionally, those attending the first annual
Indiana Farmfest Farm Show will learn of the economic impact of
bio-energy on the state of Indiana from industry leaders such as
Mike Jackson, Facilitator; CEO, AgriBusiness Group Inc., Charlie
Smith, CEO, Country Mark Coop, Phil Lambert, Executive Director,
National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition, and Tom Verry, Director of
Outreach and Development for the National Biodiesel Board. In
conclusion, discussions from our U.S. leaders on our Federal
Farm Policies and how they will affect farmers all across the
U.S. will be shared and our own Governor of Indiana, Mitch
Daniels, has been invited to provide us with a wrap up of
events.

Indiana Farmfest will be held
September 13 th through the 15 th in Tipton County, Indiana. The
inaugural year of the event will feature approximately 300
