Fontanelle Hybrids’ expanding line up makes a difference for customers
Fontanelle, Nebraska
September 23, 2005

“Among our 30 new product releases this year, the YieldGard Plus® Roundup Ready® 2 triple stack hybrids are the ones we are hearing about most from our customers,” Steve Pike, Fontanelle Hybrids sales manager, Fontanelle, Nebraska said. “Customers from all across our region, especially out West, have told us how impressed they are with the triple stacks. The fields of these hybrids have been greener, taller and better standing than other hybrids in the immediate area. It will make for an exciting harvest season.”

Here’s a breakdown of the 30 new products Fontanelle introduced this year:

in corn five YieldGard Plus Roundup Ready 2 triple stack hybrids, one YieldGard Plus hybrid, four YieldGard Corn Borer Roundup Ready 2 stacked hybrids, one Liberty® Link hybrid, four YieldGard Corn Borer hybrids, one Herculex™ hybrid, one Roundup Ready 2 hybrid and one conventional hybrid;

in soybeans eight Roundup Ready varieties and one conventional variety; in grain sorghum two new hybrids; and

in alfalfa a new Roundup Ready alfalfa variety.

“We are continually expanding our line up to bring better performing products to our customers, as well as adding products in certain maturities to ensure that our customers across our marketing area have the products that best fit their farming practices,” Pike said.

Another new product type added to the line up this year is Roundup Ready alfalfa. “Our RRALF 4R100 can make a difference for our customers with its flexibility, simplicity and performance,” Pike said. “We had a very limited supply available for fall seeding which was gone as soon as it was available. We have a better supply for spring seeding, although we are again anticipating selling out. Our customers see that the potential in this product is that good.”
