Regulator invites you to
consider and comment on proposed changes to the
Gene Technology Regulations 2001.
The draft Amendment Regulations and associated explanatory
documents may be downloaded from the link provided below or are
available on request from the Office of the Gene Technology
Regulator.
Comments received from this
consultation will be considered by the Regulator in finalising
the proposed Amendments for consideration by the Gene Technology
Ministerial Council.
Invitation to
comment on the proposed amendments to the
Gene Technology Regulations 2001
A set of plain English Questions and Answers explaining why
the Regulations are being reviewed and what the next steps
in the process will be
The draft Amendment Regulations, detailing the proposed
amendments to the Regulations (If passed into law the
Amendment Regulations would supplement, and be read in
conjunction with, the Regulations)
A consolidation of the proposed amendments with the
Regulations to enable them to be read in context (This is
not a legal document)
An overview paper that introduces the seven key areas where
changes are proposed
Individual papers on each of the
seven areas are listed below that provide a detailed analysis of
