AgriCapital Corporation,
investment bankers for agribusiness, today announced that Don
Goodwin, President of Golden Sun Marketing, a consulting firm
serving the produce industry, has joined AgriCapital Advisors,
its group of industry leaders that act as consultants on
specific agribusiness segments. Mr. Goodwin will be Senior
Consultant for the Produce Industry.
Mr. Goodwin has experience in several segments of
the produce industry including retail (Target Corporation),
wholesale (Supervalu, Inc) and marketing (Green Giant Fresh).
He has particular expertise in marketing and retail produce
management. Mr. Goodwin holds a B.S. degree in Food
Distribution from Western Michigan University
RB Halaby, Chairman of AgriCapital, said, “We are
very happy to have Don join AgriCapital Advisors. Our Advisors
strengthen the capabilities of our investment banking firm with
their in-depth knowledge of particular segments of
agribusiness. Goodwin’s broad knowledge and expertise will be
valuable as we bring our services to additional segments of the
produce supply chain. This is especially true as the chain,
linking the vegetable seed breeder-producer to the supermarket,
rationalizes.”
Don Goodwin said “I am very excited about the
opportunity to advise the team from AgriCapital. They are a
very talented group offering a much needed service to the
produce industry.”
AgriCapital Corporation was founded in 1983 as a
specialized firm to meet the acute and increasingly specialized
investment banking demands of a rapidly changing agribusiness
industry. Since AgriCapital’s founding, it has undertaken some
400 assignments, including negotiating mergers and acquisitions,
arranging financings, and providing consulting services, on
behalf of over 300 large and small companies across the spectrum
of agribusiness in the United States and around the world.
