U.S. growers planting NK Brand corn hybrids are eligible for technology reinvestment offer
Golden Valley, Minnesota
October 5, 2005

Growers battling yield-robbing pests like corn rootworm (CRW) and other early season insects are eligible for an $8 per-unit technology reinvestment when they plant any NK® Brand corn hybrid.

This offer is available with any NK Brand hybrid, including those with Agrisure™ traits, treated with Cruiser ExtremeÒ Pak in combination with Force® 3G insecticide. To further maximize yield potential, add Cruiser Extreme Pak and Force to an NK Brand Agrisure CB hybrid for protection from early season diseases and up to 15 insect pests, including European corn borer (ECB) and CRW.

“This offer is part of the Syngenta AgriEdge™ program, a comprehensive corn management system focused on helping growers make sound agronomic choices to optimize yield,” said Jeff Jorgensen NK Brand corn product manager.  “The program combines NK Brand seeds, insect protection from planting to harvest, unparalleled weed management flexibility, and shared risk with comprehensive assurances - all to help growers achieve more yield through better choices.”

Together with NK Brand hybrids, the “Early Season Protection with Force and Cruiser Extreme Pak” offer provides an option for reliable protection from a broad spectrum of early season diseases and pests, including consistent control of CRW.  The program offers an $8 per-unit technology reinvestment when:

  • Any NK Brand corn hybrid treated with Cruiser Extreme Pak CRW is used on matching acres treated with Force 3G insecticide.  All NK Brand corn hybrids qualify, including hybrids with Agrisure traits.

“To reach maximum yield, we always recommend starting with the corn hybrid best suited for each field,” Jorgensen said. “Then growers can add the most effective pest-management tools to fit the way they farm.”

NK Brand corn genetics and traits consistently give growers a yield advantage. Based on 10 years of research and more than 3,000 corn borer-rated trials, NK Brand hybrids with Agrisure CB delivered more than a 7 bu/A average yield advantage, plus superior ECB protection.

“We’re working to provide growers more options for the challenges they face in the fields,” Jorgensen explained.  “The ‘Early Season Protection with Force and Cruiser Extreme Pak’ program provides growers the ability to customize inputs for their farm with a clear yield advantage.”

This offer is one of several AgriEdge corn opportunities available to growers planting NK Brand hybrids. For more information, contact your local NK Brand Seeds dealer or rep today or visit www.nk-us.com.
